Coming Next Month: KSTI-FM in Port Angeles
On July 15th, KSTI-FM, 102.1 will begin operating in Port Angeles. The format will be Classic/Top 40. KSTI is owned by Radio Pacific, which also owns KONP.
I find the STI (sexually transmitted infection) call sign to be most unfortunate. But I am glad to see we are getting a local radio station that isn't talk.
Classic and Top 40 is an odd mix. I mean, what? Like Miley Cyrus and Led Zeppelin on the same playlist? Doubt that's going to happen. But maybe they mean Top 40 from 30 years ago. Considering the area that's probably more likely.
I like this station, but the signal is weak. I barely get it on the west side of town. I can only get it on the Port Angeles waterfront if I am outside.
Agree, good station, but weak signal. I am in Sequim and only get it in certain areas. Like in the middle of a turn...or stop sign, then it gets static.

ReplyDeleteMost stores I've been to play Victoria radio stations. I wonder if they will switch?
ReplyDeleteJust read the article. "Classic Top 40", not "Classic/Top 40". Top 40 hits from the 1960s until the early 1990s.
ReplyDeleteYeah, pass.
Karaoke music! And they'll be takin' care of biddness....EVERYDAY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteVomit!
