This is off topic, but it says at the top of the screen that if we want to comment on an issue that isn't already posted about, to leave a comment at any of the posts. So:

What the F$#%##!! is going on with the city garbage collection? Is it just me or are they picking it up a lot less often? It seems like they're collecting the garbage once a week whether they need to or not. Anybody know what's happening with this?

I wish some of these jazz concerts were a little more modern or progressive. I'm glad all these groups are getting to play and getting some exposure, but out of all these bands, couldn't one or 2 of them be playing music written after 1940?

Just a bit of friendly feedback.

Hey "John Coltrane" Dude I think you're in the wrong place. Seattle and even Port Townsend get some really heavy jazz sounds going. Here, well, your grandfather will have a good listen, but you'll have to adapt or go to the big city. Port Angeles has a lot of things going on here, but modern jazz isn't one of them.

Not to knock the old folks and their Dixieland jazz, but this event could attract a wider audience if they'd book some modern or progressive jazz bands. The planners of JITO need to think ahead ... the current audience won't be around in a few years. What then?

Bingo. By the time modern progressive jazz (what we consider "modern" today) has become old and outdated, that will be the featured music at Jazz in the Olympics.
