Another Round of Upgrades for William Shore Memorial Pool

Clallam County Commissioners are expected grant a request to issue a bond for some sweeping upgrades to the pool.  Executive Director Steve Burke says the bond is needed to help pay for upgrades to the pool's water and air-handling systems.

Most of the work will be done in June when the pool will be closed for three weeks.

In the sixties and seventies, after integration, many communities (and high schools) filled in their pools, as the whites didn't want to swim with African Americans. The history of this great transfer of dirt is moslty unrecorded.

As we integrate gay people into our institutions, school boards across America are freaking out about same sex dancing.

Okay, I guess the pool is needed even though I don't take advantage of it.

Cheri Kidd, our glorious Mayor McKnucklehead, likes to claim that she "saved the pool".

If you believe this, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you!

Stop lying about your "accomplishments", Mayor McMoonbeam and give credit to the one person who now sits on the city council who truly saved the William Shore Memorial Pool!

Oh hell, she just can't figure out how to dress up and parade about in front of it (the pool) for a news story because it isn't old enough and she can't figure out how to make it a historical place so she can get more more money from a higher government in the form of grants to keep it going.

She'd have more of a chance of getting a grant to save the old whorehouse for a tourist attraction.

This blog has turned into just plain stupidity. No point in posting anything, as long as this moron keeps hijacking all threads.

Will check back in a few days, and see if Tom can return this forum to something interesting.

It would be a good thing if the upgrades include switching from chlorine to some other disinfection process.

I thought this was Max's blog. Despite the hagiographers, Max endless aliases (The Watcher, Bodhi Clevins et al), were pretty transparent. Oh well!

Meanwhile over in Jefferson County they're charging a 14 year old with a felony for defending a victim of bullying with a poor choice of words. They're also considering charging the operator of the website where the "anonymous" confessions were posted.
