And the zip line is gone. Too bad. Guess I'll have to go elsewhere if I want to try one of those out. There's a link in the PDN article to one at Mt St Helens. Beautiful place to hike, lots to see and do. Lots to spend my money on. I should go there for vacation.

And, yes Port Angeles, there is a lesson in that last paragraph...

Who would want to zip line in Port Angeles? You might land on a killer picnic table! That would suck!

Nathan West must be important to someone, but not to me.

I told that zip line dipshit dreamer four or five years ago that it would never fly because they didn't have enough backing, it's takes big bucks to get those things off the ground.

But he sat at the bar tanked to his gills bragging to me that it was going to fly. Oh well, these idiots never listen to me.

Who wants to come to Port Angeles? Zip line, or not?

“There is reportedly $1 trillion in oil off the coast of California. But liberal hatred of science and human progress keeps them bankrupt.”

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas)

If only life were so simple.

Never mind that the oceans are becoming too acidic because of the massive amounts of CO2 we've released into the air by burning oil. Never mind that oil represents hundreds of millions of years of sequestered carbon, that we will release into the air in a geologic nano second.

Money is to only thing that is important. $1 trillion is a number. How many trillions will we, the taxpayers, have to come up with to pay for all the damages and destruction to people and property caused by Climate Change, and ocean acidification? Already, billions are being spent to clean up after Sandi on the East coast. Billions more expected to build protective seawalls. Crop losses in the US last year were tremendous, and given the current weather patterns, may continue into this year. The Mississippi River is so absent water, interstate barge commerce is all but shut down in many places.

And on, and on.

And Rep. Steve Stockman expresses some of the views of people the bright people of America elect?

"Liberals hate zip lines!"

If you are going to put a label on something do it right. Environmentalists don't like zip lines and they may or not be so called liberals.

This is a boring topic with lame attempts at sarcasm. Come on folks, PA bashing is so easy a child could do it.

Tom, you owe it to us to post topics that we can really sink our teeth into. We need to be able to rake Cheri Kidd over the coals, condemn the waterfront esplanade or applaud the end of all industry in town.

I know you're limited to what the PDN publishes, but you've missed the boat on many a potentially hate-filled topic.

We're here to spew venom and hate. Remember that, 'k?

Anon 12:48, No lame attempts at sarcasm there, hunh?! Geezz.

Of course, with your great mind obviously swirling in places we mere mortals can't comprehend, you COULD do us all a favour, and start a topic YOU think is worthy of discussion.

As Tom says, this is OUR forum, and we are encouraged to post any topic, anywhere.

Why blame Tom? Show us all what we're missing.

Yes, but...Tom absolutely censors what he considers as "acceptable" topics and messages. This is NOT a "wide open" place for discussion.

Nothing is stopping you from starting your own blog with uncensored comments.

No kidding! With the moron trolls that show up with the sole purpose of pissing people off, Tom would be stupid not to. It is one thing to have differing opinions; that is fun. But to come here just to clog up the forum with moronic posts is just plain stupid.

We've all seen it. We all know it is stupid. And it is Tom's role to deal with those idiots.

As Anon 9:43 says, everyone is free to start their own forum, and say what they want.

Thanks, Tom, for your leadership.
