Festivities start at noon, followed by an afternoon orgy of pillage, plunder and big hickey party at the new Transportation Center.

Just remember, for every tax dollar you pay, a kitten dies.

Wouldn't it be funny if some of the local rednecks drive past the tea party and give them the finger, thinking it's the anti war protesters.

I think it would've been more to the point if it happened at the Gateway. Oh well, maybe next year.

Was that you hooting and hollering at passing cars from the back of the pick up truck, Lizzie?

Looked like the usual assortment of wingnuts and rednecks. All that was missing was the Confederate flag and a few cases of PBR.

So if you're so thrilled about paying taxes, why don't you pay mine...oh, that's right you don't pay any...you're a Democrat...on welfare! LOL!

I read that the governor of Texas is talking about succeeding. The new Republic of Wingnutistan would be the perfect place for you um, wingnuts. Until, that is, economics forced Wingnutistan to be reabsorbed into Mexico.

The trouble with you wingnuts is that you're all talk and no action. If you don't want to pay taxes, then don't. The fact is, the gov't only goes after the big name tax cheats like Leona helmsley and Wesley Snipes. You, you'd get some threatening letters and phone calls and then that would stop.

Put up or shut up. A real "patriot" would do something, not just dangle a tea bag from a stick.

I thought the gathering was quite comical. Great to see Americans standing up for their rights, but to have the Republican Party take it over to spew their agenda, especially the far right was alittle to much.

How quickly we forget that we're all Americans. The problems we face today were create by both parties.

Liberals beware...we're tired of paying taxes for all your lazy-ass friends on welfare. Get a frickin' job.

I love how the picture shows all Republicans complaining about government spending. They had at least six years of total power, and another two years of partial power, where they could have reduced spending. Instead they spent like crazy. And they're surprised the Democrats are spending too? Especially during an economic crisis? Come on!

If Republicans really want reduced government spending, maybe they should have practiced what they preached. Oh, and made the tax cuts permanent, got rid of the AMT once and for all, simplified the tax code, and maybe helped the middle class and small business owner out a little bit instead of being so damn determined that big and offshored was the only economic policy worth pursuing.

Oh yeah, and comparing Obama to Hitler? Bad form. Not making you any friends. I stopped talking to some liberal friends who compared Bush to Hitler, what makes you think I'm going to listen to you when you do the same to the next guy?

Rex: I'm tired of paying taxes for people who are stupid. I'm a liberal, a person who has never been on welfare, food stamps, unemployment, never taken ANY kind of handout. I'm also a non-breeder who has paid THOUSANDS in tax dollars over my lifetime to educate other people's children. Fortunately I'm an intelligent person who understands that that is the way it's supposed to be. How dare you make any connection between "liberals" and "welfare" and claim that we created these problems. You couldn't be more wrong. Frankly, you're making the problems worse with your attitude.

Bitch Kitty,
You didn't educate anyone in the public "skool" system.
And that ISN'T the way it's "supposed" to be...our founding fathers never directed that we pay taxes for failing "skools."
And liberals DID create welfare...ever heard of the "new deal" under Roosevelt? Then it was made worse under Johnson and Carter, and even worse under your Pelosi and Obamy.
Like I said, we business-owning Americans are SICK and TIRED of being taxed to death...higher taxes and enviro regs comin' down the pike means I'll have to layoff some employees...It'll for sure be the ones who I know are liberals and Obamy voters. LOL.

Well folks, I can sure tell you that there weren't no love at that tea party for ol' Cryin' Jonesy, no sir!

I like gatherings such as that cause I do some shoutin and dancin around with the croud an then start askin for some spare change and I can get a pocket full good ol' In God We Trust. I can live like a king for a week on the spare change I can get from one session of demonstratin.

So I went down to that park by the courthouse (an I don't care for courthouses much as you folks may well imagine, but a fellers got do what a fellers got to do if you take my meanin) an I joined in with that croud of folks and commenced to shoutin and gettin all annimated. "Down with them taxes!" shouted myself and I did a a lotter woo hooin and such. Everbody was all shouting and woo hooin an I figgered I'd worked meself in good enough to start askin for some $.

Now you'd think that a buncha well heeled republicins would have so much In God We Trust that they could sure spare a bit for ol Cryin Jonesy. No sir, they werent havin none of that and they was harder than the ol two lain blacktop. One lady commenced to screechin somethin fierce and proceded to wack me on the head with her sign about that Hitler feller and some kids inna truck started woo hooin about that. Next some feller told me to an I'm quotin direct here "get a job you lazy libral bum" and started battin at me with his Republicin sign. Bout that time I was sure hopin that some good policemans would come an take me to the calaboose for disturbing the peace but I decided to hightail it outa there fore worst happened to me!

Three cruellest words in the Englich langwage are 'get a job'.

And another thing about these uppity Republicans... Why are they being so damn vague about things? It's always some ominous shadow government that spends like crazy. (All part of this so-called Liberal Conspiracy, naturally.) Why not actually protest government pork when they see it on a local level? Seems like the local Republican office could at least try to be a watchdog for Port Angeles over-spending, if they're that concerned about it.

Like, did any of these protesters hold up a sign that said "Karen Rogers: Why did you spend $14 million of my children's tax money on a broken-down bus stop?" Any of them? Or is Obama personally responsible for the Gateway Center too?

It is ridiculous how people complain about "Republicans" and "Liberals" as if they are all the same or have the same agenda. There are people with good hearts and rational objectives in both parties. Unfortunately, most all of the ones in D.C. are on the same page. As long as you're trapped into the groupthink of blaming the other party, you're blind to the real problem.

Anon7:03a.m.4/16,I hope the Gov of Texas does "SUCCEED" as you also stated but in the event of catastrophic Government failure I hope someone with more experience than obama will lead the way i.e."SECEDE"(to withdraw formally from membership in,association with,a group, organization, etc.)As for being a "Real Patriot"by not paying my business Taxes, are you kidding?!!An account must be set up so they are automatically withdrawn and that's just B&O tax,and for just receiving letters from the IRS and not bothering me about delinquent taxes? You obviously still live at home and in closing I would strongly encourage some form of higher education after graduation.... Good Luck Class of 2014

Karen Rogers didn't spend 14 million of your kids $$$ how much was grant $$$ ? Grants are a spend it or lose it deal, tax dollars are involved also but the moral of the story is WASTE SPEND WASTE repeat..That's Government's M.O. so when people are sickened by the prospect of BIGGER government,Bigger spending,MORE,MORE,MORE...it doesn't matter party affiliation, the color of skin or any label you choose,it's the "ENOUGH ALREADY" we can't afford bigger,we don't need it nor do we want it.
