Monday Deadline for Chinook Motel Owners

The City of Port Angeles has given the owners of the (closed) Chinook Motel until tomorrow to comply with a condemnation order that was issued in 2009.  The City Planning Manager said the owners have not complied with the order to bring their property up to code.  She said if the owners have not produced a plan for compliance by Monday, the city would "consider another approach," including the possibility of placing a lien on the property.

One of a few places in town that need a good old fashioned tearing down.

Think how many nutcakes Mental Health could pack into each room. Eight whackjobs per room at the minimum.

And, the city wouldn't have to expend much money on restorations since the fruitcakes won't know the difference.

The Chinook still has plenty of potential and plenty of use left in it!

I stayed in it a few times way back when visiting here and it was still a decent place, now it needs to be removed.

Or at least be fixed up and brought back into code. Oh hell, the way things are going one less Hotel is no big deal, I sure wouldn't build one here.
