$50,000 Donation to Port Angeles Fine Arts Center

An anonymous donor has given $50,000 to the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center.  This donation will enable the City to move forward with hiring a replacement for arts center director Jake Seniuk, who is retiring.

This is great news! I love the Fine Arts Center and it is considered by locals and tourists alike to be a jewel in our crown. It also helps restore my faith in the goodness of people.

Yay!

Boy, fifty grand sure doesn't go very far anymore. And that's about 4 1/2 years worth of my income in retirement.

That IS a nice move. Thanks to the anonymous donor.

Restores my faith in "Anonymous". (wink, wink)

With such generosity, the Fine Arts Center should really strive to be more austere in their spending going forward. By not changing their lax/lavish spending habits, would be a slap in the face of this very generous person. You don't run the Guggenheim, get over it.

Say, it was certainly a shock to see a sign for Sandy Long in the window of Port Book and News and not a sign for Dale Holiday.

Citizens, arise! Go into PB&N with your Kindle and demand an e-book.

Better yet, just go in with your kindle and pretend you don't know how to use and and ask them to help. Always a good laugh at brick and mortar bookstores - those that are left.

If uber-liberal Alan wants to waste his vote on a 70 year old egomaniac who has no chance of winning, and who is primarily funded by Republicans, that's his choice. Strange, but his choice.

Still, I see a lot more signs for Dale Holiday than I do for Sandy Long. And I see no sign at all of Mike Chapman having a campaign of any sort.
