Wednesday DOWNTOWN Farmers' Market Starts TODAY
The Port Angeles Farmers' Market will be in downtown Port Angeles every Wednesday throughout the summer, starting today. Their hours will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m. They'll be in the parking lot at First Street and North Laurel, next to The Toggery.
Today there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the summer Farmers' Market.
UPDATE:
The Wednesday night Concerts on the Pier will be starting next Wednesday, June 20th, presumably at 6 p.m. (that's the time they started last summer and the summer before).
Let's all get out there and support the downtown Farmers' Market and the Concerts on the Pier. Port Angeles rocks!

Tom, The concerts start next Wed. with Fat Chance, a fun rockin band! Wabisabi
Wabisabi: Thanks for the info. I remember Fat Chance from last summer's concerts on the pier.
Hopefully the downtown businesses will stay open late on these Wednesday nights so they can benefit from the additional people. If enough stores stay open on that day (and advertise that fact) some of the concertgoers will come into town from the pier to check everything out.
Fat Chance is a terrific local band, and John's sound equipment makes me envious.
Zenzizi has extended hours on Wed. And yes, it would be nice if other businesses stayed open later as well.
The new gourmet food and spice store and sandwich shop... Spicer's (between Thai Peppers and India Oven) at the foot of Lincoln Street will stay open late on Wednesdays. Come in and see what we have! (It's still a work in progress as this is our first "official" week open...so check back often, things will keep changing and our shelves will fill up with all sorts of exotic and interesting hard-to-find things.
Thanks for the info. Glad you're open and that you'll be open late on Wednesdays.
All right! Fat Chance rocked the pier tonight. I wish the Farmers Market had a bigger turnout. A lot of the usual vendors weren't there. Maybe as the summer wears on. But the concert was huge. I've never seen such a large turnout for one of those summer concerts.
