Tim Eyman Rears His Head in Sequim

Washington’s favorite anti-tax crusader might be taking on the Sequim City Council.

In the few pictures I’ve seen, Tim Eyman looks like that dufus comedian who was on several Seinfeld episodes; the one who kept saying “I’ve been working out. I’m huge!” and “the best, Jerry! The best!”

Eyman has warned Sequim against increasing the vehicle license fee. I’m against runaway spending by city councils. Where was Tim Eyman when the Gateway Project was being considered? Why doesn’t he get involved in the Bubble Building fiasco?

I think storm drains and functioning sidewalks (the current issue in Sequim) are necessary. But a $14 million bus stop? Increased funding for a shrinking school district? Tim, where are you?

Voters should be allowed to vote on all tax increases. It's their money. Never happen though, especially not here.

We have representitive democracy and that's just how it works. An overhaul would be nice but like they say, a hog can't butcher itself.

Eyman is the person to thank for a person in a $100K Bentley and a $100 Ford Pinto paying the same for car tabs. (rather than $4k for the Bentley and $4 for the Pinto).

Sounds like a Repulblican to me....

I agree, we should ALWAYS have the ability to vote....
government should not want to place themselves in an adversarial position to the people they REPRESENT

I don't see why the car tabs should be different for a Bently OR a Pinto. They both use the road the same.
The truth is...it's always the middle class (with the Dodge Caravan) who gets screwed with variable rates. The Bentley will just have a second home in Oregon and pay a flat fee, while the Pinto won't be worth cr*p and will pay the minimum, while the soccer van will pay the MOST.
