Too Many Doctors in Port Angeles?

From everything I’d heard, there’s a shortage of doctors in this area. A lot of them aren’t accepting new patients, and some of them will be retiring soon, making the shortage even worse.

That’s been the “conventional wisdom” anyway. But now, according to two articles in yesterday’s PDN (here and here), we actually have too many doctors. We have so many doctors that they’re driving each other out of business.

So which is it? What’s your take?

Free admission to Olympic National Park this weekend-

"Land of The Free"

Where a federal parking pass must be purchased for day use of public lands.

These areas belong to us- nothing new about it. We already pay for them with federal taxes- the same way we pay for the war in Iraq.

My take is that doctors come here because they want to get into a quite county area, but still want to make big bucks.

And yes, there is too many here, and they are too picky the whole fucking health care system in this county is crap.

Old fucks don't want to die, and doctors want to be rich and live better than others.

And then there is all the bottom feeders that have never contributed anything to society but now want you to help keep them alive.

Expect your taxes and cost of goods to go up to support it all. Anyone that thinks the rich should pay for it is a frigging idiot, the rich just pass the costs on to us.

You can say that about landlords and business owners too. Big city prices, small town wages.

I've never had any problem with small town wages. Raised my kids in a small town. But things have changed in small towns. Sigh.

On the other hand, because of the fee it means that there isn't so many there, and I'm thankful for that.

I could tell you of a little known area here where you can go for free, but I can't think of any reason why I should when it would soon just be run over by trouble makers and fuck up the peace there.

Max Mania can't stop thinking about tomorrow, bececause he knows that tomorrow is only a day away. Today holds the potential for tomorrow, a better tomorrow and Max Mania is the candidate of a better tomorrow for Port Angeles.

In one month, August 18th, citizens of Port Angeles will cast their primary ballots for the City Council race. We have two diametrically opposed visions of the future of Port Angeles.

On the one hand, we have two perennial candidates with a lack of vision, commited to the same tired, stale policies which have left our town in the doldrums of despair. Voters have rejected their "vision" time and time again, yet the return like noxious weeds.

And then we have the candidate of tomorrow, the Fighting Reformer, Max Mania. He represents change, growth, reform and a clean slate for Port Angeles. He is commited to cleaning up City Hall, sprucing up the City Council, and giving voice to the citizens of this town.

Let us say that August 18th will be a momentous day in our city's history and, make no mistake, the beginning of the battle for the heart and soul of Port Angeles. Do we support the Reform Bloc or do we allow the Bosses to gain the upper hand a stifle our voices with more back room deals, secret slush funds and a "when you get slapped, you'll take it and like it" attitude?

The choice is yours!

Not to be more of a "downer" than is warranted, but itsn't this the same spiel Betsy Wharton used to get votes? I'm sure both mean well, but what is Max offering that is different than what Betsy turned into?

Sigh. Is it August 18th yet?

Say what you will, I'm voting for Dr. Nosferatu for city council. At least he admits to being evil.
