Hidden Cameras Might Catch Illegal Dumpers
People who dump their garbage, old furniture, cars, etc. on state lands might be caught on camera. Wayne Fitzwater, Olympic region natural resource specialist for the DNR, said:
“Pretty much any forest road you can go down and find a dump site...It ebbs and flows — you see a lot more toward the end of the month when people are moving and trying to avoid the cost of taking the stuff to a transfer station. We are definitely increasing surveillance. We cannot spend all the money we have been to be constantly cleaning it up. We will have the cameras out there and be doing a lot more enforcement.”

Cool, I'm tired of packing their crap out of the woods.
more cameras more fines, more enforcement, more fines....just another tax
Tread gently on Gaia!
ANON 1:05 AM says: "more cameras more fines, more enforcement, more fines....just another tax"
So, who do you think should pay to remove this trash from our public lands? The people who are responsible, and when caught, pay a fine, or all of the rest of us though an ACTUAL tax? OMG!
Right BBC?
I'm sure the only crap you pack out is your own and I bet that's a stretch.
You old guys are the worst, feeling all entitled and everything.
Phucking Appalachian hillbillies would shit in their own cornflakes.
Assholes.
Hey Billy, those cameras in the woods might catch you packin' their crap out, or doing something else!
But seriously, I think it is a great idea to do something to catch the idiots that think other peoples' lands are suitable for dumping their crap on. I've picked up MANY truck loads of other people's junk from roadside dumping over the years, trying to help the place not look so bad.

Just another crank right-wing nut up too late and fuming about "The State" ruining their lives. Gimme a break. You're actually advocating in FAVOR of people dumping their trash and debris on public lands?
If that's the kind of country you want, why don't you find yourself a nice, run-down Third World country to live in - you know, one without a pesky government trying to "keep you down."
Pathetic.
Right BBC?

If you wasn't an idiot and had read some of my old posts you would know that I in fact do pack out others crap and always leave a place cleaner than I found it.
It's you liberals that want everywhere to "look like Cairo" these days...lol.
We need cameras to catch all the illegals taking a dump.
Hey BBC, let's open a whorehouse!
Good, put the cameras up, catch the bastards, make them pay for the cameras, and fine them.
Think....
On another topic:
"Housing starts fell sharply in February, dropping the most in a single month since 1984, the U.S. Census Bureau reports".
The news clips said sales and applications for building permits were at record lows. How do you think that is going to play out for the recovery of the economy?
Will all the carpenters, plumbers, contractors, etc keep buying trucks, equipment and tools? Will they be able to pay their mortgages?
Maybe they'll all just move to Japan, and help with the rebuilding?
