Kalaloch Razor Clamming Suspended for Season
The Kalaloch Beach razor clam fishery has been closed for the rest of the season in order to protect the declining razor clam population.

No,no,no. This article MUST be wrong. We heard from someone "in the know" that things on the Olympic Peninsula are GREAT, and getting better every day. There are no declines, no closures, and there are jobs a-plenty.
Well at first I wasn't sure what to think of this because I hadn't had time to think about it what I think. But then I thought: Hey, what kind of person uses a razor on a clam? I mean, its not like the clam can even run away or anything. Its kind of the cowards way to do things.
And now that I'm really thinking about it I mean, would a razor even cut through a clam shell? No way. So maybe the clams doesn't have to worry, but still, how stupid do you have to be to use a razor on a clam? A shovel? Sure. But a razor? I don't think so. This is just another case of the nanny state stepping in where there not needed. Yeah, the clams can't run but the razor won't cut them so, stalemate, or checkmate.
Anyway, I think this is pretty stupid. Its like Obamacare for clams or something. Not in my America. Thanks for listening.
Folks, on this issue I'm stumped. Stumped, I tell ya! Flummoxed, perplexed, not-getting-it, dunno! Stumped - plain ol', flat out stumped.
Next question.
oh well, does anyone other than "clamdiggers" care?

Of course not! Why should we care that yet another species has been driven to near extinction? It is the stupid regulatory agencies fault.
Screw them! I intend to go and dig up every damned clam I want to. I'm a human, and they tell me God put everything on this planet for my use and pleasure.
Amen, brother, amen!

....
Yeah! Just like that stupid dodo bird. They were around until we killed them off for food, so why not the clams.
I'll just show pictures of what those clams looked like to my kids. What more do they need?
Another attempt by the national park service to keep the beach "pristine." Last two times digging at Kalaloch we had no problem getting limits. I can't believe they tallied 1.0 clams per digger, it's obviously the number they wanted so they could shut it down.
