Bell Street Bakery Closed
Bell Street Bakery, in downtown Sequim, has closed. The bakery had recently merged with The Garden Bistro, also in downtown Sequim, but the partnership didn't work out.
I never went to Bell Street Bakery but they always featured excellent breads and pastries at the Port Angeles Farmers Market.

What ever, shit happens.
Photography place on First is closed in downtown PA too.
Too bad. I thought that was the kind of thing this area needed. Guess not enough folks supported it.
It seemed well enough supported, but they spent way tooooo much money at the start up (building, new equipment, too ambitious) and the marketing was weak. (Everyone always under estimates the energy needed to get out-there.) Its hard enough to do business in this area because people don't really venture out, and you have to "be there" for a long time. Part of the problem is that people are so spread out. It's rough with a start up, and even rougher with too big a monthly "nut". Twelve employees is a huge burden.
Should have started small and worked their way up. The big splash in this little pond is the wrong way to start.
