Country Aire Ready to Move to Larger Location
Today is the last chance to shop at Country Aire's present location at 117 East First St. At 7 p.m. today that location will close. On Tuesday, May 1st, the store will reopen at the much larger former Gottschalks building at the corner of First and Oak Streets.
The new larger store will have five times the inventory of the old store, and six times the produce.

I'll keep shopping at Safeway but I hope they do okay.
Let the gentrification begin...
Thank you, God. And the Miletichs. And everyone who works to bring real, nutrient dense, non-genetically modified, naturally or organically grown in the USA (and even in Clallam Co.!) food to PA.
And to all you who think it's expensive -check THIS out!!! This stuff doesn't spoil as quickly, and being nutrient dense, you don't need as much! How cool!
NOT ONLY THAT, but when you buy local, and if you want to, sooner or later, you get to actually MEET the food producer and become part of the system in an intimate, proactive way!
Money, money, money!!!!
Oh, I almost forgot! Real food tastes MUCH better than most of the garbage they sell at Albertsons and Safeway!!!!
@ 3:32 PM.... The garbage at Safeway has kept me alive for going on to 69 years, that's more years than I ever had any intention on being here.
@3:32PM I appreciate fresh foods but price is a concern for those of us who are hurting economically. I will keep buying at Bruscos Produce and any other stores (including Country Aire) who have inexpensive food or have sales.
LIFE IS UNCERTAIN - EAT DESSERT FIRST
Good for you BBC for supporting a union shop. THANKS
When shopping I don't take into consideration if a place is union or non union in all this chaos.
Thank you Country Aire for making an empty eyesore into a very attractive, well decorated store.
