Itty Bitty Buzz Closed; Buzz Closing
The Itty Bitty Buzz in downtown Port Angeles is closed as of this past Monday. The owner has a buyer and is expecting the business to reopen soon.
The Buzz in Sequim will be closing because the building where it's located is facing foreclosure.

Wow, wow, wow - it just sort of hit me. That's some seriously expensive subsidized coffee. Can you imagine, the actual cost of each cup, over the years? Not so itty bitty. Wow, wow, wow. Considering that wide gulf, and the high cost of commercial space, insurace, etc., is the "brick and mortar" model dead here? Will be neat though, to see a commercial restaurant space come up for rent, that allows dogs. Hopefully the new owner will make sure that allowance will be grandfathered in - and hopefully the space will be priced by the new cash buyer, so a non-chain, with not so good bank connections, will be able to occupy it and actually provide a job or two, honestly, without the subsidy. Doubtful, but possible.
To "Wow, wow, wow": What is this "subsidized coffee" to which you refer? Who has been subsidizing this coffee? The customers have simply been purchasing the coffee--by choice, presumably.
You ask, "is the 'brick and mortar' model dead here?" Well, let's hope not. Do you know of anyone who wants to buy a hot cup of coffee from the internet?
Have I completely misunderstood you?
Just read a status from Oven Spoonful on facebook. They don't know about any new owner as reported by the PDN.
"What you read in the Peninsula Daily News today "Ferguson has a buyer for the Itty Bitty Buzz . . ." is not accurate to our knowledge. We are not buying the business but negotiating the purchase of equipment and inventory only. Friends of the Spoon, we will open soon. If she is selling the Itty Bitty Buzz business, then it is news to us."
This and other tidbits can be read on facebook at the Oven Spoonful's business page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Oven-Spoonful-Catering-Cooking-Classes/324790994629
That allows dogs!!! Yeah, with OUR health department? Not a chance. You forgot the overhead of the health department fees, the taxes employers pay for employees, the higher utility rates that businesses must pay, the taxes just to BE in business. The list is a long one. The rent is just one drop in the bucket, a huge drop. Everyone wants a piece of the profits from a business. Even parking costs $15 bucks a month (or has it gone up) per employee to park in one of the few permit spaces. This town/county/state is business unfriendly and see each and every one as a cash cow for them. The amount of "profit" on each cup of joe was probably only a few cents, at best.
Our health department doesn't want you exposed to anything in little doses so your body can build up immunities to things.
Just keep everything real sterile and hide at home. And don't come to my place for dinner, you wouldn't survive it.

Some good pics of him and his buddies! PA Online (and myspace tm) exclusive!
And some pics of some local ta-tas!
But what's really entertaining, besides the ta-tas, are the comments on a certain article on another website today that alerted me that this genius has been running around wanted for some time. Check them out before they are gone!
What is WITH the local economy, seriously? We learn yesterday of the plight of another poor local family, forced to rig up unsafe heating methods in the attic! Shades of Oliver Twist! So sad! Hopefully, the housing boom will return soon (word is it's a good time to buy), the code enforcer will be hired back, and hot exposed pipes won't pose threats to our children! Who will protect our latch key children in the meantime? At least none of the first responders were at risk yesterday. I'm sure that third floor, being "4+ grade" was easy to get to and posed no risks. Easy stuff.
Murder one for Amber. Do YOU feel like a man now? Trump up the charges, get her sympathy from the jury, she will get off with a slap and time served. Then the judges and prosecutors and first responders and adminsistrators can blame the laws and the "system" in Olympia creating more distrust. This just takes it to anohter level - total legal confusion! Meanwhile, strangle someone, kill someone with real intent, harbor a murderer, steal from a dead person with help from a murderer, or be a violent drug user/thief and they coddle you - only the easy targets get the full hammer around here.
Pluck, pluck, pluck, pluck, pluck.
Is George Zimmerman unemployed? In our topsy turvey world that liberals have ruined, seems like a city like ours would appreciate can-do dude like that who can creatively use laws to make the world a safer place, thinking outside the box like the geniuses around here? No?

Yikes!
If you represent Port Angeles, any and all rational people should be VERY concerned!!
What, nothing on the Biomass brouhaha? Nothing on a certain City council member's spin?
From the PDN 4/5/12:
"(Mania)says he didn't call for a moratorium."
True!
What he really said was: "Call a mortuary. My political career just died!"
Mania will be re-elected by a wide margin.

Why don't you just ask Max out on a date, and spare us all your ongoing crap. One guy with a hard on does not represent the rest of the city, clearly.
It is embarrassing to witness.
