“Twilight” puts Forks and Port Angeles on the Map
This article from MSN isn’t the first national publicity that Twilight has gotten. But you’ve probably never seen Bella Italia, Lincoln Theater or the Port Angeles Downtown Association linked in a nationwide article before.
Twilight opens tomorrow night at the Lincoln. We’ve been discovered.

I understand that Bob Stokes is coming up with some "Twilight" themed sculptures to put around down town.
No, no, no, no!
The next project for Bob is the "Avenue of the Homeless People" for the new Gateway homeless shelter.
Much like the beloved "Avenue of the People", these sculptures will be made of Bob's trademark rusty metal and abstract representations of some of our well known street denizens.
When a person passes by any one of the "Avenue of the Homeless People" sculptures, an electric eye within each sculpture will be triggered and a recording will play things like: "Mister! Mister! Do you have any spare change?!" or some random Tourettes-like babbling. The voices on the recordings will be provided by some our well-known citizens, like Edna Petersen.
Should you choose to put a coin into the sculpture's slot, a recorded voice will say "Thank you for supporting the arts in Port Angeles!" The voices for this message will be provided by members of the City Council.
I thought we were already on the map... the dot doesn't look any bigger to me.
"Twilight" is a happenstance, a flash in the pan, it's not like the city has any concept of how to really put us on the map.
