Sometime later today, all of you taxpaying Port Angeles residents might actually find out the name of the new VIP ($144,000 a year) whom your tax dollars will be financing.
“Candidate A” of course is the code name for the mystery person who will become the Executive Director of the Port Angeles Harbor-Works Public Development Authority.
Board Chairman Orville Campbell said: “We just don't want to reveal his identity until we have a signed contract.”
Ah, transparency.
UPDATE: The unanimous choice is Jeff Lincoln, currently the Engineering Director of the Port of Olympia. He will finish out this month at his current job before taking over as Executive Director of the Port Angeles Harbor-Works Public Development Authority.

Bwa ha ha ha ha ha!Allow me to introduce you to Candidate A, my dear friend "Baby Doc" Duvalier, lately of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and currently residing in France. He'll be holding this esteemed office by proxy so we've got some local yahoo fill the seat while "Baby Doc" and I line our pockets with lucre!
Our first order of business is to construct my Evil Submarine Base. Soon my Evil Submarines will be cruising the Straits, cutting off shipping to the outside world (and vice-versa). I will be changing the name of the Strait from "Juan de Fuca" to the "Straits of Nosferatu". You don't have to be under my powers of Evil Mind Control to agree that the new name rolls trippingly off the tongue.

Sara/Lizzy ... the Doctor's post had too many big words and a subtle sense of humor for you to really understand. You poor thing, that post must have given you a helluva headache!
Oh I don't know. If you know your history, Dr. Nosferatu can be pretty funny. The thought of Baby Doc Duvalier as a high-up mucky-muck in Port Angeles made me laugh mightily.
At the very least, that would make this place more interesting. Perhaps Officer Segway can become a member of the Ton Ton Macoute. Zoom zoom!
In the Doctor's last post he made an oblique reference to the highly prized, though never found Vegetable Lamb of the Renaissance!
I think the good doctor makes a lot of sense! I almost think I'd prefer this kind of evil to the stupidity that seems to prevail at our "government" level here.
Baby Doc and Officer Segway could make good chorus line chanting "Nosferatu! Nosfertu!" while the doctor works his evil. :)
