What exactly does Max or Edna have to do with Ref 71?
nothing, but they need something to talk about. Calling each other names, and insulting each other isn't enough.
I didn't go to the forum, but reading the newspaper made it sound like a circus. Max's opening statement sound pitiful... or just looking for pity... Is there such thing as a "pity vote"?
hey, how do you think MOST people get elected around here. if it wasn't for pity, why else would we elect such a mongrel crew?
Are any of the candidates anti Harbor Works - or at least want to seriously reassess the viability and function of it?
No...I don't think any of the candidates have thought that far ahead. I'm really not holding out any hope that the city would do the RIGHT thing, and either get some sunshine on those decisions, or act in interests other than greed.
Max Mania has serious concerns about Harbor Works.
does the recent accident and loss of candidates mother/child mean that Betsy will not have an opponent in this election?
It would be a terrible thing -- but understandable.
Can someone answer why Max always responds to this blog in the 3rd person?
Is his "campaign manager" behind it...because it just sounds stupid. That, above all, is getting on my nerves, along with the stupid "newspaper/fish wrap" slanted, and biased reporting on the candidates. The big Brewer should quit running the paper like it's his little kingdom.
Ms. Wharton should step aside, if her opponent does. That would be the only right thing to do. It would not be right to win because of another person's tragedy.
I really HOPE that Brooke can carry on, if she can manage it...because my vote is with her -- she is the better candidate.
I'm just so tired of Ms. Wharton, as she says one thing, does another, and never made good on her last campaign promises. I don't think she is trustworthy. We need a city council who's allegiance is to US..the citizens, not some personal political/financial or other motives.
