Pedicabs in Downtown Port Angeles?
I agree with most of the comments at the end of this article: Interesting idea, but what about the traffic?

I was going to say "we don't really need a pedicab downtown because you're usually walking two blocks max" but I've seen people drive to the next block, so maybe we do.
But I agree, it's dangerous enough for a bicycle downtown, a pedicab would be tempting fate.
What in the heck is interesting for folks to see from one here? It simply doesn't make sense. I guess you could show them what our ally's look like, or take them down the waterfront trail.
The man wanting to start the business needs to form a business plan, not a dream.
Wait till one these pedicabs gets plowed under by a logging truck.
Dumb idea ... curious that the city council is all for it. Any of you council people actually come downtown?
I think it's a fabulous idea, always have. However the trucks need to travel another road.
we need a by-pass from Deer Park to Fairmount
The problem with business plans these days of course is that everyone else thinks it's there business to tell you how to build it and operate it. Especially with a business like that.
Capitalist: Na, we need a bypass from Sequim to Forks. :-)
Hey, I'm going camping for a few days, the rest of you monkeys are in charge while I'm gone. Good luck with that.
Pedicabs. Pedicures. It doesn't matter. Either way, we're STILL talking about the "vision" of Port Angeles.
The fact that Don Perry thinks this is a great idea, tells me Don Perry is complete moron. I think we are all slightly dumber now, having heard the idea.
For a pedi-cab service to work there has to be people downtown. Until then its not 'economically viable'.
Our city 'leaders' are obviously at a complete loss for ideas and are simply grasping at straws wildly. It was amusing 5 years ago, now it's getting pathetic.
The thing about this proposal, unlike so many others lately, is that it’s revenue neutral . Nobody’s asking for 350k for an inflatable building , or 40k for bad art. We could give this a whirl and see what happens. No harm no foul if it doesn’t pan out. I’m glad to see the council at least considering this idea, rather than shooting it down like councils past would have done automatically .
I liked the old city council.
that is going to be a long, long bike ride to get to the Olympic National Park from the ferry docks. These pedicab guys are going to have huge thighs!
I guess if you wanted to take a pedicab from the downtown to the hook this would make sense. Otherwise, why can't people walk? And if someone gets in their car to get to the next block, they need a serious b*tchslapping. What a stupid thing to do.
