Tenino, WA: New Mayor vs. the Old Guard

Now I'm not necessarily saying there are parallels between Port Angeles and Tenino.  I just thought this was an interesting article.

Dumb ass cops think he's a tweaker. Too bad coppers, that he got elected mayor before you could plant meth on him.

Seattle appears to be more interesting.

SEATTLE NEIGHBORHOODS, I think I would most enjoy living in the Fremont area, simply to experience the lifestyle there even if I didn’t involve myself with it.

Pretty funny, really.

And, I do see why you would see parallels between Port Angles and Tenino. Just look at the Pen Ply story in todays' paper.

"...something else that upset voters here was the bill for a $19 million project connecting the town's 676 septic systems to a sewer line.

Even after grant money helped pay for the system, the city still is on the hook for $10.5 million, says Ron Kemp, the town's development service director.

Kemp says the sewer project translates to about $100 a month per residence that used to have a septic tank, a big chunk in a dour economy, in a town of modest homes."

Not an exact match to our ever-booming CSO debacle, but close enough...
