Protest Outside Wal-Mart on Black Friday

About thirty to forty people were protesting outside the Port Angeles Wal-Mart this past Friday.  Six or seven Wal-Mart employees were among the protesters.

One of the Wal-Mart employees who took part in the protest said:

“We had a lot of community support.  We want them to respect us and give us fair wages and fair staffing...I do enjoy my job.  I like the company, but the guys with the ties have taken it too far.”

Lots of local negativi-TEA on the pdn comment section below this article. Sucks locals here support low wage, no benefits, no holiday with the family for you Walmart - by insulting the workers' motives. It's like "look at me" I'm a knuckle dragging moron hell bent on destroying the middle class - and thus the entire country - because of social issues and the "death of traditional America". So sick of them pretending they know anything about economics.

Walmart exists because people patronize it.

Maybe, someday, people will figure out it is not about "them", but it IS all about "us".

We get the government we elect. We get the communities we build.

And, we get the future we create.

Walmart sucks. I refuse to shop there, ever. I don't support part time, low wages, nor employer sponsored programs on "how to get food stamps" Walmart's owners (a bunch of self-centered spoiled brats) are all about more for them, and less for everyone else. It's a corrupt corporation, and our county government panders to them (as does the city, evidently, from the sewer extension that WE paid for). Screw Walmart. You pay for their faux low prices with the destruction of our community, and with your tax dollars.
