I'm guessing the subject of whores won't come up, no point in adding some color and extra income to this area.

Hmmm...A local resource (ONP) draws something like 250,000 people A YEAR through this area, yet our local leaders haven't been able to find a way to turn that into a moneymaker, even after decades to do so.

Hmmm...Memo to local lodging operators: You're fucked. Fucking fucked. Oh, and rising fuel prices won't help much either.

Happy 2013!

Port Angeles needs more investment. People, get out there and invest in Port Angeles. There are plenty of investment clubs out there, that give you an opportunity to take your life's savings and put them in the hands of the wise leadership that is Port Angeles.

Pay no heed to the nay-sayers; the leadership in Port Angeles has repeatedly demonstrated how well it manages other people's money.

Go to this discussion at the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce, and learn how you can invest in Port Angeles.

I saw a guy smoking pot downtown tonight. Clean cut, 30s, outdoorsy. Was cool! He went out of his way to not be ashamed about it. I was so impressed, I almost asked him if he were single and would like to get married! And I'm a guy! Must have been the 2nd hand pot smoke, made me want to "have his children", if you know what I mean, while stoned, all legally mind you, if only momentarily. Stoned guy, we will always have that, that precious moment outside the outdoor store, our eyes locking for that one brief moment, as you drew on that remnant of that fattie, before you got back on the road, with your new warm and dry socks, all alone in that big truck, on a dark and warmish winter evening in PA. I thought of going down to the motel bar, you know, the motel where all the fun people stay, the one with all the fun things to do, but was like, naw, what are the odds, he's halfway to Kingston now, all tired and stoned, all lonely, when he would be all snug in a motel room. Besides that, downtown was DEAD.

I hope the lodging operators get the Chamber of Commerce to change the advertizing slogan about PA being the "Authentic Northwest". If that's really true, it is an insult to everyone in Idaho, Oregon & Washington, not to mention British Columbia!

People only come to PA because they have too, might as well give up on tourism and build more parks
