Heroin Partly Responsible for Increase in Local Burglaries
Law enforcement officials think heroin, among other drugs, has sparked an increase in burglaries in Clallam and Jefferson Counties. Burglaries increased 33% in Clallam County from 2011 to 2012.

Online pawnshops. Fuck. So my brother Larry in Denver, and my other brother Larry in St. Paul, don't have to mail each other the things they steal so they can pawn them safely?
They are able to write each other's names, etc., but really can't read and don't have online access. Maybe they do sell online but I haven't talked to them since they raped mother. SHE was the heroin addict in our family, LOL, and forgave Larry but not Larry. Larry and Larry never touched the stuff. They just smoked pot while trying to get everyone they knew to do heroin.
I bet they are pissed there is no longer Saturday delivery.
I'm not sure what we can do about it, other than keep our guns handy and our yards well fenced.
And install expensive security systems like we have at the new club. What a world this is getting to be.
How about unemployment? Hopelessness?
It's the stupid economy, stupid !
Like Moore pointed out in "Bowling for Columbine"; a nation living in fear.
How are terrorists kept out while heroin comes in?
Think terrorists are smart enough to pose as drug traffickers- then cross into the US free of screening, scanning, pat downs, special IDs, inspection of personal items, etc.
Or, as we saw during Iran/Contra, the US Government trafficked in drugs to get money to fund terrorist activities in other countries!?
Criminals just need a big hug. They're just misunderstood. Perhaps a walk in Webster's Wood would cleanse their souls?
New PA slogan idea:
Port Angeles - Come for the pot, stay for the heroin!
T - Shirt idea:
Grandma went to Port Angeles and all I got was this T - Shirt. And an eightball of black tar heroin.
Another T-Shirt idea that would surely delight all, esp. all the cruise ship passengers coming this summer:
Port Angeles, Idaho
...with the lettering superimposed over the Arizona State flag's "Tequila Sunrise".
Which reminds me, CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE!!! Karma is a bitch! (their current commercial paints bears unfavorably as a vacation attraction). You'd have to be a moron to get on a ship like that in the Gulf of Mexico.
Mom, dad, I love you... please move...
Interesting comment, that just appeared at the PDN website regarding the scene downtown, etc:
"A few years ago I called the police about stolen items of mine that were found in Mr. VanAusdle shop. The police never bothered to respond. What do you do when the police just dont bother to show up? Well ill tell you ... you dont get your stuff back. Last year I once again found some of my antique dishes in his shop. They were part of an extensive theft that happened at my residence while I was in the hospital for a month. This time the police showed up my antique dishes were returned but even though Mr. VanAusdle identified who had sold him the stolen antique dishes and agreed to return them and even though I filed a police report no further action was ever taken by the police. I get it now ...you have to be a police officer for them to give a crap about the theft." E.S.
Bet it disappears! (at the PDN)
Horrible, horrible, culture of corruption in this town. I mean please, the only place that sells decent TVS in town is a SECURITY COMPANY!!!! Just wait till everyone in town has an I-phone, those will start dissapearing, and we will get the BLA BLA BLA from the cops and the paper about how THAT is the problem....FUCKING MORONS.
Yes, but anyone can walk into an antique, pawn or second-hand store, point to something and claim it was stolen from them. And people do, it's a pretty common scam. A lot of these stores are consignment, so the items aren't necessarily the owners.
This ES is upset because things weren't immediately turned over to him or her. I don't fault a store owner for not wanting to give someone else's merchandise to anyone walking in off the street. ES did get the police involved, which was the correct thing to do. After being robbed, file a report for stolen merchandise, make it official and then have the police get involved. A store owner is more likely to turn merchandise over to the police with a dated, detailed report than someone off the street.
That said, I realize this case is apparently much different. But second hand store owner aren't always thieves, just as people off the street aren't always honest. That's why we have procedures in place.
