I'm sure the meeting will be packed, and things we've never heard will be said. After the new plan is revealed, Port Angeles will leap forward into a new and prosperous future. Dan will be anointed as the Saviour, and peace will fall upon the earth.
RE: BPA's new proposed rate increase
Yet another reason our local government should be finding ways for us to do things like install rocket mass heaters. Space heating accounts for 45% of residential electric usage, and water heating another 18%. Fuel for rocket mass heaters literally grows on trees and is effectively carbon neutral. Compared to wood stoves they emit only CO2 and steam, not smoke, and use 5 to 10 times less fuel.
Reducing the number of people using electricity to heat their homes would drastically reduce our peak load and the rate we are charged by BPA for transmission.
I think I'll have a beer.
So, I got up a little bit earlier, and saw that there was a newspaper on my porch. This was unusual, being that I don't subscribe to any newspapers.
Well, those marketing geniuses down at the PDN are sure on the ball. They got my Wednesday off to a "special" start with a free copy of the PDN - last Sunday's PDN, that is.
By the time the news gets into the PDN it's at least three days old, and now their "come on" is giving away newspapers that are themselves three days old. Gosh! I'll be real sure to subscribe, that's for sure. I'll get right on it. You bet!
It just makes me wish I had a bird cage to line with this stupid freebie...
Do you think there is any connection between the holding of the PABA meeting Tuesday morning and the public health advisory later in the day about stagnant, unhealthy air over the Olympic Peninsula?
Fete that troubadour!
Things are really picking up in PA!
This can be yours for not quite double the appraisal.

Neat house. But looks bigger! Neat, though, you get to pay taxes on a 2,500 square foot house with a much bigger footprint to impress your buddies. But look at that fireplace and asphalt...so average! I can certainly see why they built that storage shed. Probably to hide the burlap sacks they wear. Tellingly, the lot is only worth 25K. To be forced to live so humbly must really suck. At least the shed is of good quality. Unlike the open porch, which is only average. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight.
