Mike Chapman offers to Step Down from Chairman Position
Clallam County Commissioner Mike Chapman
offered yesterday to step down from his position as Chairman, which he has held for the past year and a half. At yesterday's meeting he said:
"I'll just throw this out there, you're not happy with what I'm doing here. So, maybe I should step down and let someone else run these meetings. Frankly, I'm not having any fun running these meetings, I'm being accused of stuff I'm not doing and I wish one of you would take it on."

Mature approach to fulfilling a position of public representation he sought!
He wouldn't be in a position to make this offer if he hadn't stolen the last election via dirty tricks.
Reminds me of Richard Nixon's demeanor early in his political career when, after losing a Congressional election and vowing to never again run for anything, he pouted "You won't have Nixon to kick around anymore!"
Isn't Mike a minister at a local church?
Okay....
6:21, as you might know, the kick around quote spoken by Nixon 63 years ago was also spoken by him at his last press conf., sort of bookending his career, offering great insight into hate-filled-knuckledragger character disorders.
Reminds me of how all the powerful congressional republicans got together on Obama's inauguration day and decided to be major obstructionists.
Which reminds me of Port Angeles!
Which reminds me of you!
Dale, come back!
In Propaganda (1928), Bernays argued that the manipulation of public opinion was a necessary part of democracy:
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country.
We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society.
In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind."
In 1928, the reality was well understood. Here we are today, in Port Angeles, still figuring this out.
Don't let the door hit you in the ass, Chapman.
