Discussion of Clallam County Air Quality

This Sunday there will be a discussion of the results of a year-long Air Quality Saturation Study in Clallam County.  The discussion will be July 13th, 4 p.m. in the Carver Room at North Olympic Library.  The final results and analysis will be presented by the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency’s Senior Air Monitoring Specialist, Dr. Odelle Hadley.

Dr. Hadley will be discussing the seasonal variation of the air quality in Clallam County, as well as the dominant air pollution sources in each season.

BBC, ha ha but not so fast. If that were to occur the sense of empowerment would cause a loss of control of the federal and state lands and the locals would chop down and burn up the park lickety-split and not in an orderly fashion. And you think the air quality is bad NOW????????

Regardless, in two years, or in six years the country and state will be under tea party control and the park will go bye bye just like most here want. And the air is going to "different" for a while. And while tea party central command will grant us access to more water flowing from the mountains, because it's ours and we want it, it's going to need treatment before it hits your veggies. And wood prices will plummet too. Thus, more smoke. Burn it because it's going to rot anyways, just sitting there. And the ambience...well, it's just wonderful.

If you need a tube and tire patch kit don’t get the SLIME brand, they are not worth a shit. Look for the VICTOR brand, they are much better and cheaper, you can find them at Swain's.

The PDN fact check? What? Are you kidding?

Those folks just regurgitate what they're told to write.

Anybody that gives money to those chumps for that Dungeness Water Rule challenge is really stupid. But, there sure are along of dumb people in Clallam, so, don't be surprised if they go ahead with that waste of time.

Kinda like that Port Angeles "United", that says it can go ahead without all the groups, anyways. "United" in what? More stupidity?

Ever read the reviews of the local hotels, online? The Red Lion? Downtown Hotel? Scary!

And yet, the economic development folks try to get more people to come to Port Angeles, to experience that?!

Of all the environmental reporting that COULD occur in Port Angeles, two cubic yards of "missing" sand at the dumpy downtown beach makes headlines in the PDN.

Do you really think the air quality is bad here? Show me some data that another place is consistently better.

But, the dust piles up on store shelves down town from the "logs for China" operation, and the air stinks like crap, from the mill.

Who could want any better air quality that that?

1:49 - Many of us think we are killing the planet - and more than a few locals know there is no giant glass dome over Port Angeles. The air stinks here, our stuff gets covered in soot at a higher rate than stuff in Seattle, and our water tastes like shit - assuming you drink PA city water and breath PA air. Your neighbor that listens to Limbaugh has that fire going to piss you off not to warm his feet. (google the terms: diesel, truck, and Obama for clarification)

Republicans are fucking up fly over country SO FAST with fracking, tar sands, mining, poisoning the water, earthquakes, etc. it's going to come back to bite them. The big freak out is coming, soon, THANK GOD, and THEY KNOW IT, and the media is going to EAT IT UP. Ha ha!

The damage we do to the earth is cumulative and no one generation will ever see the big picture in their time. We will survive fracking and vast, destroyed water tables. Horrible, but it's just a blip. Republicans, and shit holes in general, will not survive the "reeducation camps", they will not win the big battle, the battle for the hearts and minds of the good people of this planet. Because all they can do is nit pick, obstruct, and lie, pollute, and kill, and the gig is about over.

If they weren't suck TOTAL FUCKING MORONS I'd say the possibility of huge world wars over natural resources (like water) were inevitable, like highly intelligent people have been saying for sometime now - but I think Republicans have played their hand so poorly, lately, that environmentalists will win out fairly quickly with no blood being spilt. Except for the blood in our spittle...
