At this Tuesday's meeting of the Port Angeles Business Association, the guests will be the candidates for County Auditor: Shoona Riggs and Kim Yacklin.

According to the FBI Crime stats, "In 2012, an estimated 1,214,462 violent crimes occurred nationwide, an increase of 0.7 percent from the 2011 estimate."
Do you want to see the photos of each of these? Read about the bloody details? Wring your hands for each, and cluck away about how horrible it is?
No one is saying stabbing anyone is a good thing. Some ARE drawing connections to the violent policies of the US (Give us control of your resources, or else..), and it's populations' violent behaviors, but that is another conversation.
So, here we are, talking about some poor familys' tragedies. Feel better now?
I does seem like America is becoming a more violent country so be careful in your travels and relationships.
Ultimately, it is all about consumerism. No doubt this young man, stung by the bitter weed of Racism, could not get a job to buy the things Society told he "needed." And he lashed out in the only way he knew how. Now, sadly, his life has been thrown away and he will end up in jail.
Society! You are to blame!
