Weren't there two council seats up for contest this time? Cherie Kidd's seat? What happened, there?
Good about Ozias and Smith.
When you look at the precinct results for the City Council race it would be charitable to say that Merolee Smith has her work cut out for her in the general election. It would be realistic to say that she should write her concession speech now.
Given the regressive nature of Port Angeles, you could be right Anon 9:41.
Too bad, as Marolee is a very thoughtful, intelligent and caring person. As the area struggles to move forward, someone like her will be an asset. But on the city council, as we've witnessed over the last few weeks, little that is "intelligent" happens there, currently.
That there was even a question about letting the public vote on fluoridation of the public water supply, much less a majority vote not to allow that, is a total embarrassment. Voting as a "public representative" NOT to let the public voice an opinion? Non binding? In a supposed democracy?
What a back water dive.
Doesn't matter, the insanity will continue...
Anon 9:18, there was no primary for Kidd's seat as she has only one opponent. Sissi Bruch lucked out and has no opponent so, as Peter Ripley said, she's a "shoe-in"!
Thanks Anon 11:43. That explains it.
