Jazz In The Olympics 2008

Don’t miss Jazz in the Olympics this weekend in Port Angeles — April 25th through 27th. Spring is here (according to the calendar anyway) and this is a great way to celebrate.

Concerts will be held at Vern Burton Center, the Red Lion, the Eagles Club and the Elks Lodge. Performers include:

Since it's called a jazz festival, couldn't there be at least 1 or 2 bands that aren't dixieland or trad jazz. A lot of great jazz has been developed in the last 60 years, it would be nice to have it included in our annual jazz festival.

The concerts had a terrific turnout (today's paper). Port Angeles could use the money. Let's see some trickledown.
