I think health care workers there get paid well enough and any increase only means higher care costs.

Based on that I consider them to be greedy.

But I have a positive attitude today, I'm positive that they can go ***k themselves.

And why does the hospital hire fat people? That doesn't set a very good example.

Who pays for the education of these health care workers? We do, damn near everyone of them go through college on government grants.

And then they back stab us by asking for great wages because they are so special.

Sounds a bit like the folks that say the salaries of general employees are the reason for the high costs of ?? product. Like the bank tellers, who get $8/hr, while the CEO gets millions.

Do you think the average employee gets anything close to what the admin folks get? Ya figure the bennies are similar?

I mean, pulling $500 million a year as a salary can't possible affect the cost of a product or service, can it?

You have no clue, just another dumb comment, from you who has no clue. Management wants you and rest of this country to go against the worker so management can pay them less while they get richer and spend more money on themselves. Remember it’s the workers that keep this country going.

@ 1:46 PM.... Yup, I'm clueless and you're brilliant. Next thing we know you'll be striking for more money because the price of everything has gone up. In forty years you'll have to be making 200 bucks an hour just to break even.

Just for grins, let's look at McDonalds. The general employees at McDonalds make how much? Minimum wage?

How many Big Macs and fries do these general employees have to churn out, so that the CEO can get his salary, each year? And for other "Executives"? From Forbes:

"There are many directors on the board and different divisions for different areas around the world, but the chairman of the board and chief executive officer, Miles D. White had a total compensation of $28,335,494.00 in 2008. This was from a salary of $1,795,471.00, $7,582,032.00 in stock awards, $10,757,796.00 from option awards, $4,200,000.00 for non-equity incentive plan, $3,149,302.00 for Change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, and $850,893.00 for "all other compensation". Other Executives of McDonalds earned from $175,000 to $17,000,000 in 2008."

Yes, I can see that it is the wages of the general employees that are the real problem. Let's eliminate the minimum wage, so the prices of the goods and services we need will go down!

Bill sponsored by Republican State Sen. Cunningham last year:
"This act modifies the child labor laws. It eliminates the prohibition on employment of children under age 14. Restrictions on the number of hours and restrictions on when a child may work during the day are also removed. It also repeals the requirement that a child aged 14 or 15 obtain a work certificate or work permit in order to be employed. Children under 16 will also be allowed to work in any capacity in a motel, resort or hotel where sleeping accommodations are furnished. It also removes the authority of the director of the Division of Labor Standards to inspect employers who employ children and to require them to keep certain records for children they employ. It also repeals the presumption that the presence of a child in a workplace is evidence of employment."

Race to the bottom, anyone?

That would not make prices go down. Never mind hamburgers, look at the price of a car because of union wages and general all around greed, and not just the greed at the top.

Eric Lewis and Rhonda Curry and their cohorts are great weights dragging the hospital down, down, down. Things are tough all over, but they're tougher here with all the backwards morons we have running things and acting as self-appointed gatekeepers.

Billy,

Do you REALLY want me to post the salaries of the top Executives of the car companies?

Do you really think the annual wage of a union employee is anything close to the salaries of the Admin folks?

Again, are you advocating for that "Race to the Bottom"? Are you going to advocate for the elimination of the child labor laws so that the upper management can continue to make the big bucks while taking advantage of the rest of us?

Is it really only about who can provide "labor" at the cheapest hourly rate? Do you really think Port Angeles is going to be able to compete in that "race"? Do you really think this is what we should be talking about?

True, they will already be so polluted that it will seem normal to them.

The only solution is a lot fewer of us monkeys so nature can handle us but I don't see that happening because you fools keep wanting to have kids.

So kiss your kids goodbye, they don't have a future the way things are being done, I'm a big believer in science and solving things but I don't think science can keep up with exponential acceleration.

So, you see no difference between the McDonalds CEO getting $28 million a year, and general employees wanting a living wage? Anything other than minimum wage is "greed"?

Interesting that you moved from health care workers to McDonald's employees. Are you saying health care workers get minimum wage, or do health care workers make too much to create an extremist point of view?

".. an extremist point of view?"

Hmmm.. Let's review what was said.

BBC said...
"I think health care workers there get paid well enough and any increase only means higher care costs."

I then responded with a quote from Forbes showing MacDonalds Admin get many millions each, while the general employees get minimum wage, asking whether higher product costs are likely to come from general employees making minimum wage, or the admin folks getting millions.

And now you somehow construe these comments constitute " an extremist point of view"?

Please explain.
