Rant to Oblivious Driver in Downtown Port Angeles
Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 21st, an oblivious low-IQ motorist was barreling toward a crosswalk where two people and their dog were halfway across First Street (in the crosswalk). Here's a helpful hint for the aforementioned not-too-bright individual: When you're driving toward a crosswalk that's presently occupied, you're supposed to use your brakes. NOT the horn.

Oh, Tom. You are far too sensitive. Clearly that driver was offering "the couple" a hearty and warm greeting.
Remember, this is wonderful and friendly Port Angeles. This is the "Authentic Northwest" where the locals are just gosh darned .. well, authentic.
At least he was paying attention. If it was one of our many cell phone talkers or texters there could have been casualties.
Port Angeles is the single-most dangerous place to be a pedestrian I've ever lived in. It has gotten better recently, but I still don't feel safe crossing the road here... even with a light on my side.
Seems like some days we're surrounded by assholes, other days most folks are real nice, might be something in the water.
Well, if you put a bunch of assholes and con artists in a room, and one nice person, the nice person will eventually cave. Sort of like how I drive the speed limit most of the time, a preservation of life thing, go figure, for myself, and others, but eventually the constant tail gaiting will get to me, and I'll forget I'm driving a five thousand pound missle. Sucks. To the first poster/hall monitor - please, have your prozac adjusted. Try to be a bit constructive, just once, asshole.

And, be constructive about what, exactly? Port Angeles is a dive. A backwater that prides itself in being stupid. Even the really stupid people, like those home invasion morons who ran around town bragging about their crimes, are REALLY stupid.
We've been saddled with a $50 million REALLY stupid sewer project, and the REALLY stupid city council keeps sucking up to the REALLY stupid public works staff who dream up ever more REALLY stupid projects for us taxpayers to pay for.
The city council tried to SUE ITS' OWN CITIZENS for collecting signatures expressing concern about actions the council had taken! Hunh??
Constructive? What, join the PABA? Maybe a city council advisory committee? Sure.
You just go ahead and waste your time.

The cops here need to be told that Rodney King died - it's ok now to crack down on lawbreakers. I think that judge retired too. Time to earn your money again. The free ride is over.
Aggressive driving around the library was out of control, more than usual, today. Wake up people, no need for CB radios anymore, they know where they can get away with shit - probably all they do. Time to hire some undercover traffic cops.
