Once the structures are removed I suspect the rest of the clean up will slow down and take years while it's decided who will pay for it. But in the end the taxpayers will.
Wit duh brain trust at duh port in charge, it wont take to long to do it rite!
Yep, I agree with ya, Billy.
They should put in a mill. With the housing market finally coming back, there will be tons demand for siding! People LOVE wood siding! I can hear my neighbor pulling off his vinyl siding right now!

I guess you don't follow the global economic news much. The warnings of "decline" are rampant, and the US stocks lost over 200 points on Friday on news that "sales" in the US fell.
None of the fundamental issues that have caused the economic troubles have been addressed yet. Heard of the US "fiscal cliff"?
But, you just go out there and obligate yourself to more debt. You can declare bankruptcy like so many others have.
Maybe they should put a vinyl siding mill there.
So all the cargo containers coming into this country daily, are they returned full of our products or are most of them empty?
I'm just wondering.

Hey! The Port of Port Angeles is getting $2 million more of taxpayer money to waste at the Pen-Ply site.
We should add up all the millions of public monies spent on that site over the years. Seems the Port owns it as a way to generate taxpayer money for their own projects!
Ahh, it is just more of that "magic money".
It is interesting how we keep being told how the government is cutting back, and times are tough, but they keep coming up will millions of dollars for these really non essential projects.
Cut back on services to the public, but...

All this attention is ridiculous.
When a woman or girl is raped, forcably, or willingly (?) and becomes preggers, it was MEANT to happen and the pregnancy should be taken to full term. This is the moderate viewpoint, now, in most circles around here, I suppose - of course it's only 7:45pm.
Future debates will be who controls this, how much jail time and for those who would not let the "plan" play out - with of course, no research scientists involved.
So, when we rape the land, it was meant to happen, and part of the plan, and should play out with the tides, rain, natural drainage, runoff, etc. Women should be so luck to have such cyles! DUH!
Why spend any money on it? Welcome to the FUTURE. Which is very close!
The plan by scientists and government folks is only to extend the process anyway, taking those paychecks, year after year, gettin that health care, waiting for that retirement, all the while carrying out the former plan anyways....
Yes, Very logical. Rape is Gods' will. God wills rapists to rape.
