Sissi Bruch was a pleasant surprise amongst the PA city council candidates last time; maybe more like her will file this time?
Hope so.

The count down starts Monday.

Pesonally, I think Max will wait until late Friday afternoon to file his re-election papers. This will ratchet up the tension several notches and throw Peter Ripley into a paroxysm of paranoia and fear.

On the other hand, maybe Max will just disappear by Friday and take that lucrative job offer from Bhutan. The one that involves creating policies and cleaning up after the Bhutanese King's numerous yaks.

Prediction: Max will file to run against Dan Gase, leaving Peter to be a shoo-in. He'll knock Gase out of any hope of winning the coveted council seat, and win with the votes of the not-good-ole-boys.
Should be fun to watch Gase get defeated by someone who wins on progressive issues, and who doesn't clutter the landscape with yard signs.

Dream on, Anonymous 11:03, dream on.

The Great One has spoken: There is no love inside the ice house and no hope for prosperity and progress in this town thanks to corrupt city and county officials who fear change.

"...no hope for prosperity and progress in this town thanks to corrupt city and county officials who fear change."

A lot of us are saying that. Not just Max. And with Harborworks and the Incubator and this storm overflow tank and Madsen's golden parachute and everything else that's sucking away public funds at alarming rates, who could blame us?

Unless you like wasting taxpayer money? So-called "conservatives" (I call them "rinos") up here sure seem to!

Prediction #2: Don Perry will run again for the council, having been flattered into doing so by the puppeteers who know he is an easy "yes" vote for whatever self-serving scheme they want to shove onto the public.
