Port of Port Angeles Commissioner Candidates will Speak at PABA meeting
Del DelaBarre and Colleen McAleer, the two candidates for Port of Port Angeles commissioner, will be the guests at this Tuesday's meeting of the Port Angeles Business Association.

I hope the audience asks for details about the under-market-value leases and the public paying utility bills for favored port tenants, as outlined in the whistleblower report. McAleer will know the details, but her opponent should have read-up about them, too, and be able to express an opinion.
Good riddance of McHugh. But which one is the better candidate to replace him?
Just get rid of the POPA altogether.
And, the PABA, while we're at it.
Does anyone know if their probation officers will be attending as well?
What I love is seeing Steve Tharinger quoted as supporting funding for a nanoparticle study for the Nippon plant because there is "a gap" in the scientific understanding of them. Of course, he's supported the biomess plant all along, and has sponsored tax break bills for Nippon, despite what he now says is a knowledge gap. In other words, HE VOTED FOR SOMETHING WITHOUT ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDING IT. Thanks, Steve. Great, great work.
Interesting headline feature on the PDN on Labor day. Take that people "down on your luck!" Look at all these people WORKING FOR FREE!!!!
“She's not a pushover,” (sic) “But she clearly understood where these patients were coming from.” (nothing against the volunteer, at all, or who spoke that, but what an asinine comment to publish)
Like the other 48 physicians, nurses and nurse practitioners, Dr. Joe is not paid. He doesn't dwell on that. (because he's doing fine financially, has health care, and the people he's helping are sick and poor and are in a free health clinic, for people down on their luck, for a one shot deal of help)
“It's an opportunity to help people who are down on their luck,”
(down, down, down - I can barely see you down there I'm so far above you - KNEEL BEFORE ME you poor sick unlucky uninsured swine!!!)
So what, it's not like the public goes to PABA meetings.
