I'll be replacing the drive belt on a riding mower. Ever do that? They can be a bitch, best way is to remove the battery, drain the oil and gas and tip the son of a bitch over on its side.
I had to replace the drive pulley on the engine shaft, a year or so ago. I just put the floor jack under the front, and lifted the puppy up. No big deal.
The belt guides took a minute or two, though.
The drive belt seldom needs to be replaced so that is good. I'm just fixing up an old Craftsman rider with a good motor in it for a friend so he can mow his grass.
I had it up on 12" planks to fit another deck under it but at almost 71 years of age I don't like to struggle with things anymore while lying on my back so it was just easier to turn it over. :-)

If you can afford them that is great, but I'm just a poor man trying to help other poor folks get along in this world by fixing things for them being as I'm a retired master mechanic with a shit pot load of tools and equipment I can still use.
For a few more years anyway, then I'm going to start losing it. When I get to that point I hope I still have enough brains left to use my cool black power pistol I built from a kit to blow my fucking brains out.
Going out like Glen Campbell is a crock of shit, dying should be more fucking interesting than getting old and losing your brain and letting others wipe your ass.
Fuck, people, go out with some style, try to get mentioned on the front page of the local fish wrap.
You may even make Yahoo. :-)

I see this crazy city is looking to load us all up with even MORE taxes and debt.
Yesterday it was how they are looking for millions more for that stupid Tank o Crap project, and today it is about the "conference center" on Oak Street.
When are they going to hear us? Enough, already.
