Port Angeles Merchants Got Boost from Cruise Ship Visit
According to at least some local business owners, Friday was a good day. The owners of Elliott's Antique, Port Angeles Antique Mall, Bay Variety and Cabled Fiber Studio, among others, all had increased business due to the cruise ship passengers.
All Points Charters and Tours sold 700 shuttle tickets to various downtown locations. And shuttle tickets to Hurricane Ridge, Marymere Falls, Lake Crescent and some local wineries were sold out.

Get the money, any way you can! That is what it is about, right?
Or, do you think the visitors, wealthy enough to afford a cruise ship vacation, were actually impressed with Port Angeles?
Really?
And your point is?
This makes me think of inviting people over before you clean the place up.
The cruise ships dock in a crappy part of town, and the passengers that bothered to get off, have to walk through more of crappy Port Angeles, to get downtown, which is no hot spot.
Remember, these folks visit other towns, and have nicer places to compare to.
You really should clean up the place, before you invite visitors, ya know?
Not everyone is a hillbilly.
The trinket shops seem to have done okay.
LOL! Yes. What were those quotes? "Better than an average day"?
When "average" around here is empty streets, that is not a very hard average to better.
Hallaluyah! Port Angeles has been saved.
