Navy Proposes New Pier on Ediz Hook
The Navy is considering building a pier at the Coast Guard station on Ediz Hook. It would serve as a staging area for the Transit Protection System (TPS). The TPS is operated by the Coast Guard and provides escorts for submarines on their way to and from the Kitsap-Bangor Navy Base.
The Navy will be hosting a public comment session at the Port Angeles Elks Lodge on Thursday, February 5th, 6 to 8 p.m.

Would provide some decent employment I guess.
The naysayers will figure out a way to prevent additional boats from berthing at the Coast Guard station.
A new pier and Navy boats in the harbor sounds okay to me, just so long as they don't close off more of the Hook to the public. I like going out there and climbing on the rocks or letting the dog run and play along the shore.
I don't know crap about football, never watch it, but I think the Seahawks will lose the pooper bowl.
Wrong direction for the area. But, look at what the boneheads running that "Revitalize Port Angeles" want to do.
Maybe the Bavy can use Ediz Hook for refueling those Growlers, for their plans to turn the park into a weapons testing range!
They already use the waters off Forks for weapons testing.
Hell, while we're at it, why don't we just turn the whole area over to the military, and be done with the illusions.
"Bavy" ...?
Bavy, Navy. As if you didn't know what the poster meant. So clever of you to point out the typo.
Bo, I bibn't now what the boster beant.
