Boy oh Boy! I'll be sure to set my alarm clock for that meeting. The chance to be at a 7 am meeting to listen to Dan? That will be just SOO exciting.

On second thought, why bother?

OOOOH! What a wonderful opportunity for Mr. McKeen! Oh, gosh! Being in the same room with so many important community leaders! It must give him butterflies in his stomach even to contemplate it!

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.

Nippon bringing in out of state construction workers to build biomass burner. This violates the federal Davis-Bacon wage act. Nippon received $2 million in stimulus funds and $20 million in federal tax credits to fund the project. Federal law requires they pay prevailing wage and they are in defiance of the law.

Story here:

I should clarify that Nippon is paying the out of state workers a wage that is 1/3 of the prevailing wage that should have gone to support local workers.

BCC - ha ha ha. Probably one of his unemployed neighbors - a "tea party welfare queen". Or a realtor.

"Nippon bringing in out of state construction workers to build biomass burner."

You don't think anybody in Port Angeles cares, do you?

Just change the channel, dear.. There must be something more interesting on.

What's the big fascination with importing people from the deep south to work here in Port Angeles? Nippon hires a non-union construction firm from Louisiana to build its taxpayer subsidized incinerator; some refugee from Hurricane Katrina is elevated to an influential job on the local political scene; another transplant from Louisiana is hired to head Peninsula College. At least Port Angeles had the sense this time to hire a ocal who speaks without a southern drawl.

The fact that you Libs are all foaming at the mouth over Mister McKeen's appointment as City Manager is amusing. And predictable.

Fortunately, Tom provides this forum for you to publicly air your bitterness and impotent rage.

Otherwise I don't know what you'd do. Maybe make a few anonymous phone calls or spray paint naughty slogans on the walls.

"The fact that you Libs are all foaming at the mouth over Mister McKeen's appointment as City Manager is amusing."

Ah, the local wingnut is back again, trying their feeble attempts to make themselves somehow feel important and better than others by spouting lame attempts at insults. Really is sad to see.

Of course, there is no evidence any of the comments about the new city manager have anything to do with "Libs", but, this is the best this poor wingnut can come up with. As we all see, this sad creature comes to this forum, and all they ever do is try to insult those they wish to call "Libs".

"Fortunately, Tom provides this forum for you to publicly air your bitterness and impotent rage."

OMG! Yes, we can easily see who is posting thier "bitterness and impotent rage", anonymously!

Too funny.

Someone, please, buy the cops or newspaper reporters a laptop and teach them how to use google. It's embarrasing and dangerous.
