Chinook Motel Pool Being Filled In
The pool at the defunct Chinook Motel is being filled with dirt. This is being done as part of a city-required nuisance abatement. The owner is trying to sell the property but is required to clean up the exterior.

Biological stuff, well, a lot of people pissed in that pool over the years.
But I didn't consider the pool an eyesore, most folks these days didn't even know it was there with the fence hiding it.

If this really does proceed, and this issue behind us, seems the city will be able to lay off a few more people and save us some $$.
Speaking of things being filled in...What local self-styled political bigwig will be singing their swan song at a big event today? It seems this bigwig is being forced to take a "temporary leave of absence" so that the adults in their party can try to fix the many messes this person has made.

It would be so great if the Democrats really did take care of their own. We'll see.
The right-wingers here are so clueless, the only reason they're ever even competitive is that the Dems eat their own. Dick Piling is laughable but from what I've heard he's the one laughing at the chaos on the other side.
Was great fun staying up late and checking out the press conference and seeing the first Curiosity photos from Mars. USA, USA!!!
