He's a buddy of Tharinger so you know that if he isn't Evil Incarnate (that title is held by ST), he's Evil Incarnate, Junior.

Despite being a Democrat, I'm sure he'll be sucking up to Dick Pilling (Evil Overlord)and the other county good ol' boys, doing their bidding and genrally causing a sulphuric miamsa to envelope us all.

Hmmm, someone who serves the public as a fireman and also gets elected by a majority of voters is evil?

What do you 1:37 PM do that is so noble that would allow you to spit such venom?

I hope the 29 comments in seven minutes wasn't the bitch that has been pretending to be me. And it's not easy to get Blogger to shut down an imposter.

Kevin is a decent guy.

Sure, the Peninsula has had its' share of bad politicians, with Karen Rogers way up on that list. But Kevin is really a God fearin', wet behind the ears, honestly-a-good-guy type.

Why he ran for office is beyond me, though.

In fact, why anyone who isn't in it for their own gain bothers is puzzling. As we see, there are plenty who sit in their armchairs, never bothering to lift a finger to do anything for their community, and are so quick to insult. They are happy to make baseless accusations, and question the integrity of those who do take the time out of their lives to work in service to community.

Why do these decent guys put up with the abuse?

Kevin may be decent in the sense that you might be able to trust buying a used car from him. But from watching him in action as a legislator, he is way too susceptible to being influenced by special interests. He strikes me as not very bright when it comes to political savvy and understanding the implications of what he is voting upon. Deficiencies that could have been chalked-up to his rookie status are not improving over time.
Think of him as a Jimmy Carter playing in the very minor leagues.
