Three City Council Members to Speak at PABA meeting

Pat Downie, Brad Collins and Dan Gase will be the guests at this Tuesday's meeting of the Port Angeles Business Association.  All three are running unopposed in this November's election.  Brad Collins and Pat Downie are incumbents.  Dan Gase was the interim appointee to fill a council vacancy.  He'll be running for a different council position in November.

Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dumb, and Tweedle Dumbest of Them All. These aren't leaders, they're just old men who like to relax in the chairs in the City Council chambers.

Just wait till we get "Mayor Pat Downie".

There was only one person on the city council who had the courageous vision of where this city should go and he was hounded out of town by a vicious gang of thugs and conmen.

I would be interested to learn what any of these guys have done as City Council members that is worth taking note of? Individual actions. Innovative proposals that actually turned into something. Anything.

We hear all kinds of BS at election time, what what actually comes of it?

Max was the only person on the city council who got anything done, who made positive, progressive change for this city.

Yet he was despised by the do-nothings on the city council, the staff and the city manager.

Also, he riled the good ol' boys and their sickening gang of thugs and toadies like the Port, the PDN, a gaggle of dancing harlots, Nippon and the mill, corrupt offices at city hall and certain members of the local "progressive" party.

His letter only hinted at the vicious tactics his opponents used to smear him at every turn. Some of you know the whole story, the true story of why Dale and Max had to flee literally in the dead of night to escape this town.

A recent poll showed that among people that think we should bomb Syria, 57% of them don't think it will do any good. How do we fix that? Nightmare...

Our issues here? Same BS...spending or wasting money just to piss off people. Most waste in the US occurs on the local level and we are the poster child.

So I see from the PDN coverage of the "action" at the PABA that all three Council members favor cutting the trees down in Lincoln Park. At a cost that is for some reason nearly SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS. (And remember, projects like this almost always go over budget.)

Never mind that the airport isn't viable, trees or no trees. Never mind that a huge portion of the community, possibly even a majority, don't want the trees cut. Never mind that there's no money to pay for the cutting or redevelopment of the park. No, the City Council will roll right over and do what they're told and raze Lincoln Park. As others have noted here, Max Mania would have had the courage of his convictions, and would have opposed this land-raping boondoggle. But he got the hell out of here, to get away from backward redneck "solutions" like this one.

So we'll be left with the chumps on the Council, and the stumps in Lincoln Park. And have to (somehow) pay for it all.

About Syria. The UN inspectors determined gas was used, but did not determine by who. The gas was delivered by a "surface to surface missle".

The US, and other countries like Saudia Arabia have made it no secret that they are arming Syria's opponents, who everyone including the US knows includes Al-Queda. (Remember Saudia Arabias' role in the 9-11 attacks?)

As most anyone who has any knowledge of recent history knows, the US, via the CIA, assasinated Irans' legitamately elected President in 1953. This is not wacko conspiracy crap; the CIA itself admits this.

The US wanted a pro-US government in Iran to support the US oil companies developing resources in Iran at the time.

Although most Americans were happily oblivious of what the US did, (imagine what Americans would have done if Russia had assasinated our President, and installed a pro-Russia government!), people in Iran remember to this day.

Back to Syria. So, the US tells Syria, "You use chemical weapons in your efforts to defend your country against these opponents (funded by the US, Saudia Arbia, etc), you will have crossed a "red line", and we, the US, will bomb the crap out of you."

You think the Syrian government, after seeing what the US has done in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Lebanon , etc, was not capable of blowing the crap out of Syria?

But, there is more. If you look into it, you will see that the President of Syria has been working to "modernize" Syria, which has pissed off the Islamic fundementalists. This anti-modernism has been seen in Afghanistan, by the Taliban, who kill people for anything they deem anti- Islam, or "pro-Western". The effort to fight existing governments to install Islamic fundementalist regimes is most graphicly seen via Al-Queda.

How best to get the US involved in helping to destabilize Syria? Do what the US said not to do. Cross that "red line".

A shoulder fired surface to surface missle filled with chemical agents is used by some member of the "opposition", and presto-chango, you have the US involved.

That wasn't so hard, was it?!

Chumps and stumps. I like it!

Is there a way to get a list of all the nutjobs ranting against smart meters at the last city council meeting? I'd like to carry it around with me so that I can be sure to have nothing to do with them ever again.

The current city council is a joke. Seven sets of eyes and no fucking vision at all. That goes for Sissi too. The only guy with vision saw that this place is doomed and got out. I'd only favor cutting the Lincoln Park trees down if we get to drop them on the city council. That would be a fresh start.

8:50 - Frustrated that Ted Cruz isn't getting TV time after his Jessie Helms comments last week? You should get to a red state. Lots more freedom fer ya, in red states, trust me.

Over seven million to cut down some trees? Something is WRONG! Someone, please explain how on some lands, cutting trees reaps profit. On other lands, it costs A LOT (a lot a lot) to cut them down?

This is being done just to piss off people. I'd like to see some of the local "libertarians" get pissed about shit like this, LOCAL WASTE just to piss off "liberals" and LOCAL TEABAGGER OBSTRUCTIONISM....but NOOOOO they have their panties in wads over Syria. Too funny. Not really. Assad is a crack head. Seriously, watch the Charlie Rose interview, he's on something, and addicted to it, whatever it is. Every pro-regime person I've seen interviewed, either a rich as shit dip shit holding a sign in NYC or some relative of Assad's in Syria, looks like they are on a drug that is NOT fun, and not good for you. 8:50, you embarrassed yourself, pay your cable bill, watch some real news, learn something.

9:19 - lol, already isolated...no need for a bubble....we are like the low budget version of Under the Dome, rotfl....we can call it a "Palindome"?

5:02 - Obama's a chump, yea right. Today was the worst day EVER for neo-cons. You guys are just pissed the prospects of war with Iran are so slim! Despite the progress, the signals, the signs, the dialogue, the rhetoric, McCain and his buddy Lindsey pretty much declared war on Iran today!

Egypt - no war for us. Libya - no war for us. Syria - no war for us. Tunisia - no war for us. Greece, Spain, where's that social unrest supposed to happen there? Iraq - war over. Afghanistan, war almost over.

And fish are back in the Elwha!!!

So take your leaky dump, your sewage outflow holding tank, your polluted harbor, your fucking smart meters, the future clear cut at Lincoln park, the fucking fluoride in our water, your Nippon bio mass particulates, and your new sidewalk and shove it!

Anon 2:54 says: "8:50, you embarrassed yourself, pay your cable bill, watch some real news, learn something"

Really?

Do you doubt or dispute the US, via the CIA , was involved in the 1953 assasination of the elected president of Iran?

Do you dispute the 1953 overthrow in Iran was about oil?

Do you dispute the US has a long history of destabilizing governments around the world, and installing pro-US leadership?

Do you dispute that the US, via the CIA, is overtly arming Syrian opposition fighters?

Do you dispute that Al-Queda has fighters in Syria, trying to overthrow the existing government?

Do you dispute that the Taliban in Afghanistan kills people who are "pro-western"?

Do you dispute Saudia Arabia has been pouring huge sums of money into Syrias' opposition?

Do you dispute that there are all kinds of different foriegn fighters in Syria?

Etc, etc, etc.

If you want, I'll list sources to suppport all the above. And you?

Speaking of Iraq, have you followed what has been going on in that country over the last 6 months? How about Afghanistan? How many people are being killed and injured, every day?

Yeah, the US sent in the troops to solve all the nasty problems in Iraq and Afghanistan, all those thousands of people died, all that money spent (a billion a week, if I remember correctly), and for what result?

Do you remember the news clips saying the FIRST things the US got fixed in Iraq and Lybia was to get the oil flowing again. Priorities.

During the 1950, 60s and 70s the CIA has helped undermine and overthrow democratically elected governments in Iran, Iraq, Syria and Libya and replaced them with "friendly" dictators like the Shah, Saddam Hussein, the Assad family and Muamar Qaddafi. The U.S. government props up the hated Saudi royal family.

The CIA armed and trained the Mujahadeen fighters in Afghanistan who made no secret of their loathing of the West and all that it stands for. The Mujahadeen morphed into the Taliban and Al Quaeda led by Mullah Omar and our pal, Osama Bin Laden.

Egypt and Libya were more than happy to take our "terrorist detainees" and torture them for us.

Al Quaeda is active in Syria and Libya.

Speaking of Libya, that great success story, you don't hear much about that. The country is in the process of disintegrating in factional strife. Whatever the "government" of Libya currently is, you can bet it doesn't control much beyond the suburbs of Tripoli. Go Obama!

Obama, Kerry, Hillary and the Zionists like McCain got well and truly punked on Syria while information continues to surface, despite attempts to squelch it, that the "freedom fighters" were responsible for the Sarin nerve gas attack.

Obama should just give his Nobel Peace Prize to Vladimir Putin who has done more to avert a global war than George W. Obama.
