New Marketing Theme for Port Angeles
The Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking suggestions for a new marketing theme. The deadline is August 31st.
For the past seven years the theme has been (as you probably know): “Port Angeles, Washington: The Center Of It All On The Olympic Peninsula.” They're hoping the new theme will be shorter, as well as being usable for more than just tourism.

Billy, you really aren't asking this question, are you?
The Select Few that make things happen, or, in reality, stop things from actually happening in this town are SOO far out of touch with what goes on. They just keep playing their ego games, and pushing their agenda that results in nothing happening.
So, once again, they are promoting a new way to get public funding for their salaries as they look to "promote" Port Angeles with a new slogan. Who will pay?
With what for results? Look at all the vacant and closed stores around town, and see how effective their last efforts were.

Not that the last one is a bad thing. Get that logging museum that's been talked about up and running. Get some logging camps up for the guys who sit in an office all day but watch "Ax men" by night. Do fishing tours. Zipline, hiking, some extreme sports like the BMX racing that's already here. Whatever. I mean, not the sole focus, but we got the rugged environment, why not make some money off it, right?
