Highway 101 Improvements Between Sequim and Port Angeles

A $90 million Highway 101 project between Kitchen-Dick and Shore Roads will start in either December 2012 or January 2013.  The project will include widening the highway and constructing two bridges over McDonald Creek.

There will also be closures of several county roads during the construction period.

Yeah. I want to see a tally of all the local "conservative" business folks and business associations that have been pushing the State to fund/construct this "improvement" to the local transportation system.

And, what about that pathetic presentation to the Chamber about the Mega-Yachts they think are headed up to the Pacific North West after enjoying the San Francisco Bay area?

Of COURSE these multi-millionaires will choose Port Angeles over Victoria, Seattle or Vancouver as the place to park and party. If you had more money than you knew what to do with, and had the whole world to choose from as a playground, OF COURSE you would come to Port Angeles! Why go to Hawaii, or Bali, or any nice place when you could park your multi-million dollar yacht next to a log yard and stroll through the streets of Port Angles?!

Do these people at the Port Angeles Chamber have ANY brains?

For all of you in those shabby double wides in Clallam with fair, or fair "plus" quality, take notice and be thankful you are saving fifty bucks a year in taxes, not having a fancy triple wide. Foreclosed on by First Federal. VERY high construction standards for a triple wide, you can just tell as it looks SO nice, valued at $175,000 for the trailer alone. But it's so high quality. Unlike other bank owned properties, you can pick this one up for UNDER appraisal!!! Wow, that's truth in advertising if I ever saw it! 3K under apprasial, whoo hooo!!!

This could actually become a playground for the rich, at least a parking spot where they get cheaper moorage and can find cheaper labor for their plants.

And they'll still expect the rest of us to help pay for any improvements they want, like the damn airport.

Billy, you've been hanging around the campfire crowd for too long (not that that is a bad thing!)

The folks that have the world as their playground live on a different level than the morons at the Chamber can understand. They can spend on a dinner what we spend for a month for our lives, and think nothing of it.

This is one of the problems in Port Angeles. The "leadership" here thinks the big money people on the planet see things like they do.

Not even close.

You got a full time paid staff maintaining your multi-million dollar yacht, on stand by, waiting for the few days out of the year you MIGHT want to go out on a sail?

Didn't think so.
