Tentative Primary Results

So far, Mike Chapman and Maggie Roth are the top two vote-getters for Clallam County Commissioner District Two.  For Clallam County Superior Court Position One, Eric Rohrer and Chris Melly are the top two.

The Civic Field Improvement Bond is losing with 55% approval.  A 60% vote is needed to approve this.

In the race for the congressional seat held by Norm Dicks (who's retiring), the likely candidates are Derek Kilmer and Bill Driscoll.

Congratulations to all the clueless voters who wasted their votes on candidates (Long, Morris) who never, ever had a chance of winning. Now, thanks to your idiotic spliting of the vote, it looks like we'll get to choose between a Republican (Maggie Roth) who literally knows nothing, and a a former Republican (Mike Chapman) who literally does nothing. There will be no progressive choice for voters this fall for county commissioner.

However, I am heartened to see the Civic Field bond FAILING. Hopefully this will teach the city of Port Angeles the value of maintaining their facilities, and the perils of depending on the voters to bail them out when they don't do their job.

Finally, I'd just like to predict that Rob McKenna will be our next governor. Yeah, he's creepy, and yeah he's rushed hard to the right, but I just don't see Inslee winning this one.

Since the 80's we have had democratic governors and democratic congress.

Washington has been in the lower half of the economical rankings and is continuing to drop. Seattle is no longer one of the better places to live / retire. High taxes, high gas prices, low employment, etc. etc.

I think its time for a change...

Anonymous at 7:23 -- how sad your rantings sound. Anyone who doesn't jump up and down screaming "Dale Holiday is God!" is clueless, a dangerous lunatic, etc. Please stop this, before you lose what tiny shred of credibility you have left (and yes, people do know who you are despite your hiding behind 'Anonymous' -- ) you are the one who seems clueless. Grow up.

Bulldoze the eyesore and put the pile of rubbish where the giant skateboard helmet/lighting rod/death trap was supposed to be.

KAAA-POOOOW!!!

Hey teabaggers - stop trying to get the morons around here to raise our OWN taxes just to bankrupt our county and city and make people hate government more.

I'd vote for more cops. As long as we hire people who aren't from here. Sorry, but just sayin'.

Poor Dale Holiday. So sad, too bad. I guess you can go to Bhutan but you can't get elected!

You might want to consider you own chances for re-election, Max. You've burned your bridges good and proper around here and most folks would like you and Dale to go away.

Thanks for posting anonymously and not under some clever alias. We can still tell your posts by your writing style. :)

Poor pathetic Max. Enjoy your last year on the city council!

Hilarious watching from Sequim to see pa voters TOTS MISS the opportunity to upgrade civic field. HAHAHA! No one in the peninsula has an artificial turf field, which is required by WIAA for district level tournament play. PA just missed a great chance to draw thousands of people from all over for high school athletics, people that spend money in hotels, restaurants, shops. Whatever, I hope we can snag that sweet moolah here next time we get a chance to upgrade our stadium.

Well, it looks like the local D's have assured another term on the county commission for Mike Chapman. Fascinating interpersonal dynamics in that group.

Just think of what great shape we would be in (in a year or two) if instead of fixing the pool three years ago, we voted for free condoms for everyone.

And then in ten years, the crime rate would PLUMMET.

The key to this program working is twofold. It would have to be on a local level. Social engineering is NO LONGER acceptable on the national level. And the condoms would need to be returned for cash. That would be the incentive for them to be used - and that cash for used rubber program could replace welfare and foodstamps. Too bad old people don't (or can't) breed, or that would take care of Medicare.

We could let the new "Master Janitors" collect them. They certainly will have the staff to help!

I sure hope Mittens puts Newt in at the DHHS.

Dale loses. Dale loses. Dale loses.
Dale blames everyone but herself. Dale blames everyone but herself.

Dale loses.

Max is next!

So nice to see that the local democratic party is working hard to keep democrats from being elected. So long as they keep putting the rat in democrat, those on the other side will be very happy.

Someone posting here appears to have a pathological obsession with Dale & Max. The two of them must be doing something right, to threaten the entrenched insiders so much. Don't be discouraged, Dale & Max. A lot of voters think your leadership is right for Port Angeles and Clallam County.

Extreme partisanship, in both the Democratic and Republican Parties, at the very clear expense of thoughtful, independent thinking, is what is actually ruining our country! It is this overwhelming need to win, by all the extremists, that has allowed "big money" to control both Houses of Congress, and the National Debate. Think for yourselves! Don't vote ANY Party Line!

Amazing how it all comes back to Max Mania here, isn't it? Trolls gotta have something to do I guess. I hope Mania runs again so I can vote for him again. Meanwhile, isn't it the head of the Clallam Democrats who is being forced to take a leave of absence? Hmmmm, why's that I wonder? Could it be that he's finding out that karma is a bitch?

"Karma is a bitch, ain't it Max 'n Dale."

LOL!

Yeah. Max wins on his first time effort running for elected office in Clallam County, and Dale racks up impressive numbers, having never run for elected office in Clallam.

I would REALLY like to see this twerp that is so obsessed about Max and Dale run for elected office here. Do you think they would get any votes?

Go ahead. Prove me wrong. Get your ass off this blog, and put your ideas to the public vote. Show us all you can get more votes than Max or Dale.

Then, I might listen to you.
