Tall Ships Returning to Port Angeles
The Tall Ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will be pulling into Port Angeles later this month. Both ships are homeported in Aberdeen.
They will be in Port Angeles for six days, starting April 14th. They'll be in Sequim for one day, April 21st. Public sails, walk-on tours and educational programs will be available. The public sails are three hours long. They'll be available only in Port Angeles; not in Sequim. However, people will be able to book passage on the sail from Port Angeles to Sequim.

When they came over from Victoria after the 9/11 bullshit I owned a 32 foot boat. I took a number of men out to 'escort' them into PA.
There was these Coast Guard runabouts with machine guns mounted on them watching us like we might be bad asses, I didn't dare get too close to one of them, what with my being a bad ass and all that.
What a frigging joke....
Actually the tall ships have some pretty modern high tech things on them these days, like GPS units.
I figure you are about as crazy as I am so I assume you have one also. When I get my new one next week it will be more accurate than my old one.
With all the plates shifting around the world sooner or later, I think sooner than later, ours are going to break loose with a big quake, we're over due anyway.
The first thing I will get a fix on when I get my new unit near the end of the week is my home. When it hits I'll want to know how far I've moved. :-)
Taking into consideration where you live I think you might also note your current elevation, maybe consider getting a depth finder also so that you can try to locate your place from your rubber dingy. :-)
I sure as hell hope that you have an earthquake proof box in your place to dive into if it does hit in the next few years.
The buildings in that area are going to take a real beating. Of course property values will go way down also so you should get a good break on property taxes. :-)
You do have earthquake insurance, don't you?
BBC-
Those same Coast Guard gunboats occasionally escort Washington State ferries on Puget Sound.
It's all part of the Fake "War on Terror".
If terrorists wanted to get their boat dangerously close to a ferry- they'd just put it on a trailer and drive it on.
I was browsing your site yesterday and clicked on someone's name and found a piece they had written about a sailor from this area that got hurt.

Maybe BBC knows them since he is a sailor. I have not seen it in the PDN. So frightening!
Alex - Gunboats? I ride the ferry a couple times a week and have never seen them alongside the ferry. I have seen them escorting warships and subs. Maybe you were actually seeing that.
Jim and Becky - Thank you for the site on Kalahar. I see he is getting better. He races that little blue boat a lot in the harbor. What a misadventure. Mother nature is a scary mistress.

Looks around for the BBC they must be talking about. I was in the Navy, landlocked for four years. I owned a 32 foot boat for about five years, I've done a lot of boating in smaller boats.
But anyone that thinks I'm a sailor is living in a different delusion than I am, ha ha ha
Anyone hoping to get to Hawaii with me as the captain is a damn fool.
Better call Jack Harmon or his son if you want a sailor. But do feel free to call me if you want to tip a few brews and bullshit, I like to bullshit and learn about others.
The only reason the CG gunboats are there is to shoot any survivors.
