HOLY MOORING LINE, BATMAN!

If that mooring line had been cut in the Hudson River, would be deep shit for whomever did that. Really, really, deep shit. Hundreds would be looking for them. Sure, the extra publicity it would get in NYC would make that happen, but it would still happen. And that would be good.

But here, "Oh, they were just mad they couldn't come on the cruise ship". "Oh, the cruise ship still had one line left." "Oh, we MIGHT call the feds, not sure maybe someone did, who knows, regardless, ssshhhhhhh...".

IT WAS A FUCKING CRUISE SHIP!!!

Furthermore, "VANDALS", PDN???!!! No, "vandalism" is what 50% of adoslescent males do. Cutting the mooring lines on a cruise ship, even one that only holds 100 passengers at $5,000 a pop, is TERRORISM.

It's bad bad bad for the people on the boat, the crew too, other boats in the water, and bad for the community. It's not like it's Hawaii here, if the boat goes down two hundred feet from the shore, at night, cold water, you die. I'm surprised the squishmasters of squirm didn't put in the headline, "Alleged Vandals".

In other news...Van De Wiggle says he is GOING to call the state in regards to our road safety up here. Gee, thanks, asshole. Someone, please, run against that asshole nextime.

The guy picked up for the smash and grab theft in PA a couple of weeks ago for burglary, and possession of stolen property (wonder what??) and four outstanding warrants, has a myspace page. One of his photos shows a pile of cash next to his drivers' license. Subtle, no?

I wonder how many criminals he's sold stolen guns to? Oh, I know, I know, why would anyone think he would ever do that? I'm sure he's a fine young man, times are just tough. Probably too dumb too, to realize he would have gotten caught if he tried to pawn it.

I help as much as I can by avoiding employment so others can have the jobs.

I guess I'm stupid, bought some patterns and can't make much sense of the directions with them, I need some sewing lessons to make my mountain man pants and shirts.

I honestly can't think of an easier and more effective way to stop the cruise lines from ever coming back this way again.

To 8:40 am - Here's something I learned when earning minimum wage at age 16 many decades ago - if your skills are a dime a dozen, that's what you will be paid. Increase your skills and productivity and the salary will follow.

Anon 1:38- In case you haven't noticed, the world, particularly the employment sector, has changed drastically from "many decades ago".

Corporations have learned they can just "contract out" most all jobs, and therefore have no responsibilities for employees. There are very few long term jobs, anymore. Most are short term contracts. Finish, and you're out on the hunt for your next job again.

And higher education? Have you noticed how a college degree means virtually nothing, now? Even those with Masters and PHDs are taking low wage jobs.

Years ago, it took half as many jobs to support a household. One adult in a family could make enough money to pay the bills, AND support their family, AND set aside money for retirement. Now two adults in a household have to both be working, just to try and make ends meet.

So, now there needs to be twice as many good paying jobs.

But, the patriot corporations, as was quoted just a day or two ago, refuse to do even the minimum to contribute to the country they operate in, saying "We are proudly capitalistic". Only doing whatever it takes to maximize profits, matters.

The unemployment rate in PA drops 0.9%....based on population and the number of people actually working, that works out to somebody died, a kid got hired at Jack in the Box, two people moved, and three people got jobs cleaning up bulldozer destruction in Gayles Addition.
